Join the discussion about the possibilities of technology for vulnerable population groups, from social robots to digital literacy and social impact, during the Aletta Dive “Stronger Together: Technology as an ally for a healthier life for vulnerable individuals” on Friday, October 18 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The host of the day is Jetse Goris.

The program is still in development, but we promise you an inspiring and educational day.

Healthcare technology is developing rapidly, but how do we put innovations into practice so that all citizens can benefit? In addition, we are dealing with a shrinking healthcare workforce. How can we provide the care that people need?

In the Dive we investigate what works and what does not work in practice and how we can bring this knowledge together. Collaboration between knowledge institutions, but especially between policymakers and healthcare staff, is necessary to arrive at feasible practical solutions.

What can you expect?

  • Inspiring speakers, such as Job van’t Veer, Jenny van Doorn and Johan van der Meulen, share their experiences with social robots, encouraging the use of digital tools and supporting healthcare professionals and design thinking for impact – the user journey
  • Inspiring discussions with experts and stakeholders about the future of tech and healthcare
  • Work together on concrete solutions to urgent health issues
  • You meet like-minded people, expand your network and share knowledge and experiences

With this Dive as a catalyst, we want to have a significant, positive impact on the (quality of) lives of vulnerable groups in the Northern Netherlands through technology. We encourage collaboration between researchers, policymakers, companies and practitioners to develop and implement new technological solutions. We do this, among other things, by making follow-up agreements after the Dive for jointly submitting project applications, obtaining financing and making further agreements regarding consortium formation.

This Aletta Dive is relevant for:

  • Professionals who are committed to a healthier life for vulnerable population groups
  • Researchers developing innovative technological solutions
  • Policymakers who shape policy and regulations around healthcare technology
  • Companies that offer technological products and services
  • Civil society organizations that support vulnerable groups
  • End users and representatives of target groups

Your participation will be invaluable in shaping the future of healthcare. Here you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts and stakeholders on practical solutions to pressing health issues. Together we will make a difference!

The plenary sessions will be in English, and the breakout sessions will be held partly in Dutch and partly in English, taking the guests into account. So it is a combination of both languages.

The program team consists of Maarten Lahr, Job van’t Veer, Jenny van Doorn, Johan van der Meulen, Sita Dijkstra, NHL Stenden, 8d Games, Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health, Service Marketing University of Groningen, Jantina Tammes School of Digital Society, Technology and AI

We hope to see you on October 18!
