Developing PLA/HTC composites and controlling their degradation profile

My interest in polymers led me to work on skin cell scaffolds during my Bachelor’s. Later, I chose polymer engineering for my Master’s degree, where I focused on shape memory orthopedic plasters. I will begin my PhD at UMCG in the Biomaterials & Biomedical Technology department soon. This PhD project is about developing PLA/HTC composites and controlling their degradation profile. I will do my best to achieve excellent results and I hope this will contribute to more effective treatments for patients.

Project start: October 2024

This project is applied for by Dr. Patrick van Rijn, Dr. Daniele Parisi and Dr. Baucke van Minnen (UMCG).
